As of October 14, 2014, Starcon is under the leadership of newly appointed President and Chief Operating Officer Peter Cianchette, new Vice President of Operations Reggie Williams, and incoming Director of Human Resources Laurette Laverdiere. All three executives have extensive experience in their fields of expertise.
Peter comes to Starcon from the firm’s parent company, Cianbro, which was co-founded by his father in 1949. Among Peter’s former titles are Vice President of Business Development for Cianbro, and United States Ambassador to Costa Rica. He also has significant industrial experience in the private sector. Peter has served more than 25 years with Cianbro and will be relocating to the Houston, Texas area with his wife Carolyn.
New Vice President of Operations Reggie Williams is well known to Starcon, having already served as a VP of the company and amassing 35 years of extensive experience in the petrochemical industry, while earning the respect of clients and team members alike.
Laurette Laverdiere is a Cianbro veteran with 30 years of experience attained in both the benefits and operations sides of human resources management. Over the past year, Laurette has provided assistance to Starcon’s HR recruiting and hiring efforts. She will be based out of the La Porte, Texas area.

With the new senior managers in place, Starcon will rededicate itself to the goal of satisfying the firm’s clients while continuing the quest to be the safest company in America. With the guidance of the leaders who now step into their new roles, Starcon will continue the tradition of safety, productivity and quality craftsmanship, and has every expectation of improving upon that tradition as well.
